Sands of the Desert to be Available at 2024 Nat Meet Registration

The club is pleased to announce that Harry Hickling’s new book, Sands of the Desert, will be available at the regalia table during registration for the 2024 Centenary MG National Meeting on Friday 29 March, 2024. The book recounts Harry and Cathy Hickling’s journey across North Africa in their pre-war 1937 MG SA.

The couple’s travels across Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, to ancient Greek and Roman ruins, through Tobruk and exploring Egyptian culture offer a unique insight into a world that has not been accessible to the west for over a decade due to conflict and civil wars, while Cathy’s photography brings this ancient world to life.

Harry’s first book To Finish is to Win, sold out quickly and following this, Sands of the Desert is an easy recommendation and a must read for any MG enthusiast or adventurer. It will be offered at the special price of $50.
