First Impressions of the MG3 Sport VTi-Tech by Andy Leondiou

Andy Leondiou recently had the pleasure of spending a few days in the new MG3 Sport VTi-Tech, and has returned with impressions.

I was lucky to have had the MG3 Sport VTi-Tech model for a few days prior to taking it out to the All British Day at the Kings School in North Parramatta compliments of SAIC.

On first impressions was the surprising amount of space for a compact car. The cabin felt light and airy with plenty of legroom both in the front and rear of the cabin and very easy access to the front and rear seating.

I found the driving position to be good, the steering to be easy with good feedback, brakes and handling to be excellent with plenty of grip, limited roll, good stability and excellent ride comfort.

The gear changes were easy and smooth only requiring fingertip effort to progress through the gears. The 1.5-litre engine felt smooth and brisk easily keeping with the traffic. This car was a delight to drive and very easy to park.

Externally this model came with diamond cut alloy wheels, LED daylight driving lights, sports designed front and rear bumper, side sill extensions, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust finish and MG insert headlamps, a throwback from the pre-war days of MG.

Inside this model was equipped with air conditioning; a six-speaker audio system; Bluetooth; DAB radio, USB input, automatic lights and wipers, rear parking sensors, and fabric seats with part-leather trim.
