As the Berowra Waters Fish Cafe has closed, we have chosen an alternative venue for our annual Alf Luckman Memorial Fish & Chips Run, now to be held at lunch time on Saturday the 21st of January, 2023. Join us for a run from Loftus to Stanwell Park through the National Park.
We will be meeting at the Loftus Oval Car park, 896 Princess Highway, Loftus at 11:00am on Saturday 21st of January 2023. We will depart at 11:30am from Loftus Oval for a scenic run through the Royal National Park, via Flat Rock Crossing, Little Garie, Forest Island and Otford. Maps will be provided, as will a directions sheet with distances at the various turn offs.
The end point will be Station St in Stanwell Park at the Stanwell Park Beach Reserve. The run should take about 45 minutes.
Take away fish & chips or other choices may be purchased from The Bostin Brew Co Café, or you may elect to dine in. There are seating areas in front and on the side of the café. These belong to the council and are not fitted umbrellas.
There are a number of large leafy trees to sit under, so please bring chairs, tables or a picnic blanket. There are also two large shelters, however these are quite some distance away. Parking is plentiful, the most convenient is just past the café.
Traditionally this is the opening event for the MGCC Sydney’s calendar each year and is one of the more popular gatherings. All members are most welcome.
The vehicle you arrive in is your choice. All the better if it is an MG, but that is not essential. This is a social event, designed to meet other MGCC members, discuss cars, politics or whatever is your interest. We look forward to seeing you there!
