In this December edition of Opposite Lock, I am very pleased to present the proposed program for the combined Illawarra Register runs in 2019.
You are invited to join us at any or all of the following events in 2019 which are approved by our club and are valid as club runs for those cars on historic plates:
Saturday February 16th – Gerringong Lions Car Show
Friday March 29th – Australia’s Industry World Tour Pt Kembla
Thursday May 23rd – Fitzroy Falls and Grandpa’s Shed
Sunday July 21st – Christmas in July Lunch, Mt. Keira Scout Camp
Saturday am August 31st – Return visit to Retford Park BOWRAL
Thursday November 28th – Lunch -Venue TBA and suggestions welcomed
I’m looking forward to seeing you in 2019, starting with the Gerringong Lions Car Show on Saturday the 16th of February.
With all of our Illawarra Register runs, we aim to create relaxed and enjoyable events that provide an opportunity to take the MG (or Jaguar) for a run – especially those on historic registration. We combine with local car club groups, frequently the Jaguar Drivers Club and South Coast Veteran and Vintage Car Club to create an interesting mix of cars and driving enthusiasts.
As this report is heading to the editor just before the last Illawarra Register run of 2018, to Robertson in the Southern Highlands, I’ll share a few photos of cars attending a HARS event during this time of year, which also featured the OzFlightSim Expo.

If the weather is bad- bring a Modern and still enjoy yourself!
