After dire weather predictions for Sunday, we were greeted with a lovely winter’s day. We kicked off proceedings with morning tea at Nepean Dam, before taking a run around the secondary roads of the Southern Highlands and finishing the day with a picnic lunch.

Magnette Run to the Southern Highlands, Sunday June 23, 2019
There was a good attendance to Peter Baldry’s Magnette run, despite the forecast of wet conditions. Five Magnettes and about as many other MGs joined in the fun. I noticed that there was also an outing for Ford Mustangs, new and classic, encountering two left-hand drive cars parked with the MGs.
We set off on a run through the highlands around Mittagong, enjoying extensive views of the Southern Highlands as we passed Mittagong International Airport, the Bong Bong Racecourse and Frensham School.
I exercised the Rubbernose at the June Mid-Week Muster, so I took the daily driver out for the run. This enabled me to act as passenger and navigator in Greg Fereday’s MGB, which sported the hard top for the day.
