Photo Gallery: November 2019’s Club Observation Run to Middle Dural & Beyond
On Sunday the 24th of November, we took off for a run through middle Dural and beyond, kindly hosted by John Clarke and the MGB register. Scroll on, and enjoy a few photos from the day and a recap with thanks to Ingo Weinberger.
Club Observation Run to Middle Dural & Beyond
The run started from Swane’s Nursery in Dural, traveling through the wilds of Arcadia, Marayla, Cattai, Pitt Town and Kenthurst before returning. The weather was pleasantly cool, with much of the smoke that had hung over Sydney for the past two weeks having dispersed.
About two dozen members attended in around 20 MGs and a few other marques. With route directions and questions distributed, we were off!
I had the good fortune to navigate and ride with Peter Robson, who had the good luck to win the major ‘door prize’ at the AGM – a drive in the Sebring Replica MGB! Quite a performer this car, and worth having to cope with the hard ride and noise.
The route was complete and the run finished by 1 pm. We brought up the tail end and met some of the participants already heading home.
